About Laura
Laura Brown has 13 years of experience working on strategy, operations, and R&D for some of the world's biggest publishers, including Lonely Planet, POLITICO, The Economist, Industry Dive, Congressional Quarterly, Roll Call, Axios, The Chronicle of the Horse, and more.
She has a Master of Science in Mass Communication from Middle Tennessee State University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. Her academic focus is in business model sustainability and managing for good civic impact. She is extremely passionate about climate change response and sustainability in business.
In her spare time, she moonlights as a writer covering Tennessee business and politics for local news publications. She has a regular column in The Tennessean, and regularly writes for The Nashville SCENE and others. She has dreams of writing a full-length novel.
She is currently residing in the Washington, DC area, having fled from Tennessee after losing her right to access health care after the Dobbs decision.
